That is very true, unfortunately, skinowski! Medicare is really calling the shots, as I just found out. Medicare is a new thing for me, have both A and B, PLUS the best Medicare supplement we could find... Recently I needed a required article for upcoming surgery, and later...Medicare doesn't cover it. So I thought the Supplement would help. Nope!

Turns out after a few calls, and so that all of you will know if you don't already...

If Medicare doesn't APPROVE payment for whatever item, then the SUPPLEMENT doesn't either!!

If Medicare only covers $5 of whatever it is, then the Supplement will pick up a portion of the rest of the cost, if not the entire charge.

Who makes those rules????? I thought that's why we needed a supplement......

And in fact, we do....assuming that Medicare will cover even a little piece of whatever it is....

Now, if I were a refugee, or other.....don't get me started....
