back to Mitt and the wheelchair guy.

I think that Mitt believed that the guy was lying. He told Mitt that marijuana was the only thing that kept him alive. He asked if Mitt would put him in jail for trying to stay alive.

Mitt shifted from should this one guy go to jail and answered a general question that had not been asked.

Many demo candatates have stated something like this is something that should be left up to the states. That sidesteps the issue. It would, however, get the fed out of the pot enforcement business inside the US. That's a plus.

Mitts response was that he is against medical marijuana. That current federal policy should continue.

If he actually thought people died because of being deniged marijuana I think he may have had a different response.

His response could have fallen into one of three catagories:

1. Things should remain the same.
2. Things should be left up to each state to regulate.
3. Sick people should be supported instead of jailed.

Mitt chose #1.

If he believed the wheelchair guy, then Mitts statement to him was the message:

Please understand: Federal policy requires you and everyone in your circumstance to die. Please comply.

In other words: "please die ASAP."

That is the "diss."

So then .. Mitt either believed him to be lying or he should either die or go to jail.

Giving Mitt the benefit of the doubt, I believe Mitt thought the guy was lying. Which led to my comment about Mitts lack of education on the topic.

It's that or Mitt is a cold callused bastard.
