Have you? I know many, many people who work in the health care industry. Doctors, pharmacists (i.e. my wife), a few nurses, etc. Lots of problems with health care in America.

But the problems that France is facing ought to throw cold water on the notion that universal health care is a panacea.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: The only benefit of universal health care is that it will drastically reduce the number of uninsured. Is that worth multiplying the existing problems? Maybe if you can get a handle on them, but that ought to come first.
