Yes, it doesn't seem to make sense. This median figure of course is, in itself confusing. I don't know why it is so widely used. Much like the average family has 2 1/2 kids.

I can tell you though from what I am seeing here in the US the asking prices are down at least 10-25% from the peak of 2006-07 and the actual selling prices are lower than that, in most cases.

Might be time to get that house you have been talking about:}
