Although I agree the stock looks fantastic (up after negative news! Usually a great sign...like the auto's rallying like mad in '90 at the bottom of their cycle after announcing huge losses) you have to remember on this volume thing that on NASD all trades are counted 2X on the tape unlike the NYSE. Also, the traders put up the "blocks of stock" so sometimes if its busy they may "dupe" a trade or two to make sure that it gets on the tape. So that 5 million may be 2- 2.5 million or 10% of the float in a week with totally shit earnings...not that big of a deal really. I agree with "Big Picture"....about the 13D...companies will usually announce a stake...they rarly buy up a million or so shares at say 6, then announce they're taking a stake at 8 or 10......a few million to HP is an odd lot, that would be rather "Bush league" in my opinion......I've never seen it as a matter of fact.
