So far, not a single person I have talked to has thought that this tax rebate idea will do anything for the country, and they all think it will mean very little to them personally. I think the government has about reached the limits of credibility among normal, reasonably intelligent people. At last, a true bipartisan consensus: the U. S. government is an ass.
