Lets not and try to keep the economy growing - the deficit is declining over time and will disappear on its own barring a major recession. Even that will only slow it down.

Raising taxes - even in a backdoor way )letting them expire, is likely to hurt the economy mightily and make hte problem worse.

Its economic growth not higher taxes thats the answer.
