Tom,

This should have serious implications for any company developing anticholesterol drugs. Even more are the implications this may have on women's health and menopause. So much to do has been made about HRT effects on the heart, and I think what we might wind up seeing out of all of this is that steroidal pathways are only part of a much larger puzzle.

It will be really interesting to see how all of this pans out.

The sad lesson that I continue to learn from all of this is that as far as we've come in the pharmaceutical industry for developing very exquisite medications that have a profound impact on health, the marketing wizards and lawyers will come along and find a way to pervert everything to the point that everyone loses.
