I hear in the USA hospitals are obliged to treat emergency cases without reimbursement. Understand the STUPIDITY of that system in that the uninsured (and there's 50 million of them and rising) with non-chronic or non-life-threatening cases cannot get treatment until they become life-threatening. So the condition cannot be "headed off at the pass". The cost of treating a life-threatening condition is much higher and is born by insurance holders. But, people like jimbob would have that rather than treat the life-threatening cases, they'd just let them die on the streets. This is the American way. Kill or be killed. It's eugenics in disguise. Just let the poor die and the gene pool will improve. It's disgusting and extremely immoral. These are the same people who supported GWB's illegal war in Iraq (regardless of its' justification or lack thereof).
