I agree, I think we should have been much more interested in his history as a cheerleader, his immersion into fraternity life and his playboy lifestyle in the 60s when so many young people were deeply involved in the political issues of Vietnam or were off fighting that war, his failings in business, his manipulation of big oil money ties to his father or the government to enhance his business interests, his utter failure to distinguish himself as anyone other than the privileged son of a very wealthy and accomplished father and some other aspects of his history.

Many people with poor grades have good minds but simply aren't interested in working for top grades or, unlike the Condi Rice's of the world, aren't disciple personalities who automatically internalize and regurgitate whatever they're told.

So yes, that's a bad rap for Bush. Ed
