Bull & Bear Challenge: Bet or Barometer?

John states:

<< BGuy, the contest you propose may well be illegal gambling. My guess is that the webmistress of SI would not be too happy to hear that an off-line contest involving money is being organized on this board.>>

Under the proposed rules, their is NO BETTING. Commit a 100 shares to be held through March 31, 1998 as opposed to shares held for trade on the next hoax-induced movement of four to five points. When the heat in the kitchen gets to be too much for your convictions, simply get out AND post that you have done so. No participant is under any obligation to treat covering a Short position or selling off a Long position any differently than normal. No more a bet than I'm Doug Sherk. Its not a bet, its a barometer.

The Webmistress is no doubt enlightened at the resistance of Shorts to join an effort to gauge the true depth of conviction behind posts to this thread. A simple suggestion which costs you nothing other than the time to transmit the "I'm Out" post. Simple enough for even the most serious investor.

Bonnies (why are they resisting the Bull & Bear Yak Barometer if they REALLY believe Zitel's over-priced and ultimately going in the tank) Guy
