Tim, re: "What does "progressive discussion" mean? You asked questions, I answered them. You raised issues, I responded to them." A "progressive discussion" is a discussion that proceeds sequentially. That means that when the other person talks you respond with new perspectives, new rebuttals or at least with an effort to reframe your position somehow so that the other party can hopefully see it more clearly. It's not a circular discussion and it doesn't include simply repeating the same opinions using the same language, or changing the subject, or creating a straw man argument. Ed
