But don't you also think it only fair that the BIG bullet is bitten by the perpetrators of such unsound business practises? I can understand the gov't taking steps to soften the blow but I'm completely against any grand bail out. Too often now were using our gov't to spare people and businesses, both of whom've been dumb enough to live beyond their means. My logic is that if the government keeps on bailing out different problem sectors the different sectors will be a vicious circle ad nauseam. I use the same logic for immigration. Those living in the US illegally should be made over a span of time to return to their home countries and reenter the US legally. If we allow citizenship without the penalty of leaving the whole cycle will happen again in a few years. The only way illegals would leave is if they couldn't get employment and the only way that will ever happen is to make employers run employees through a data base. Both that and figure out a better way to run our immigration process...streamline it. We need all those people we're getting rid of back again.....<g>
