Andy, thanks for the good post. Currently, my StochRSI scan includes a requirement for RSI-89 to be greater than 50 and Dahl to be greater than zero. I also look for the Price Volume Trend to be greater than its 40 day average, positive Chaikin Money Flow, and the Positive Volume Index to be greater than the Negative Volume Index.

I like your idea of looking at a StochRSI(34,13). I can see on the charts that if it is close to 30 when StochRSI(8,5) and StochRSI(13,13) cross 30, you can have a powerful move.
