Bill, that Y2.1K idea is far-out! But I'd like to propose something more immediate. We've already got a plethora of companies working to solve the problems associated with the Gregorian calendars. What about the others???

Did you know that yesterday was Yom Kippur, a high holy day for the Jewish religion and the start of the new year of 5758? Did you also know that I've started a rumor that Hebrew software can't handle years greater than 5760?

Did you also know that May 9 was the Muslim new year of 1418. Would you believe that Islamic software doesn't correctly handle years greater than 1420?

All this pales in comparison to the celestial calendar problem in China. That one extra full moon next March will mean that every Chinese program written prior to this year will have to be totally rewritten. Why, with a couple of billion people over there, the amount of money we could make fixing their software is just staggering!
