I don't care how educated a person is or the I.Q. as long as that person is open to learning... which in my opinion goes on for a life time...

And inherent in that learning.. by reading... by meeting persons from other cultures etc. one learns that many of those ideas that he had were not accurate. The ability to adapt, the ability to change ones mind...

I always laugh when I read about flip flopping. Who in the world is right all the time. Sometimes information is missing from something that necessitates a mind change.

In today's world there is almost too much to absorb. Overload..
and the smart leader would surround himself with persons who study topics and report to the leader who is enabled to make an INFORMED opinion... I remember Kennedy was known to read every newspaper and editorials to enhance his judgement..

I for one learned a lot from my students.. AND I wish I had a lot of them around today to help me with this computer,
MP3 players my digital camera...etc.. <G>
