I always laugh when I read about flip flopping. Who in the world is right all the time. Sometimes information is missing from something that necessitates a mind change.

Flip flopping when it is the result of a careful rethinking of one's position seems to me to be a very rare occurrence in politics. After all, if position changes were real changes of heart, wouldnt they happen just as often away from your political party's orthodoxy? I cant remember the last time that a Republican or Democrat actually changed their position from one that agreed with their party's platform to one that disagreed. It seems to happen universally in the other direction.
