With that said, I expect Rush to support the eventual Republican nominee no matter who that person is.

Wouldn't it be a hoot if Rush was so revolted by the GOPs candidate that he decided NOT to try and get his listeners to vote for a Republican.....
The long term strategy of this is evident if you think of it this way. For years now the GOP has gotten nothing but bad press more or less and no one has gotten more than Bush. If the GOP try putting another Bush type compassionate conservative in the WH and he tries pushing bipartisan agenda (like Bush promised when he entered office), then we're going to have a mishmash of compromised garbage being legislated and the GOP will get the blame for it.

On the other hand if a Democrat ends up in the WH the public will hold the Democrats directly responsible, of course they'd still be trying to blame Bush for everything but I think that would fall flat.

Either way our country is going to be screwed for the next 4 years....... America seems to have forgotten what it is to have liberty and be free from oppressive Gov't, maybe a Democrat in the WH would remind them......
