Then why not run a non-charismatic leader who is at least in tune with all these supposed conservatives? It's not like the guys who are left on the GOP stage are all that charismatic. My guess is that these guys are conservatives who lean way right and your definition of a conservative is really, pretty much a nut job. For example, Hate Radio defines McCain as liberal, but I don't know any liberal or moderate Democrat who thinks he is liberal. And he's only moderate when compared to a bunch of mouth breathers like Limbaugh and Coulter.
