Most furnaces have a 5 year warranty AND if you do an annual service the company that makes the unit will cover the parts. I think I'd call the furnace maker, use a lot of honey while talking to them and see if it wasn't possible to at least extract the parts from them. Tell them you service it yearly. Some of these technicians act as if a furnace is a throw away item and I think thats BS.
