GULF PRODUCTION MONITOR: January 31, 2008 Gulf production has been flat at 11.9 Bcf/d for six straight days after falling from a recent peak of 12.3 Bcf/d on Jan. 23. The monthly high was 12.8 Bcf/d reached on Jan. 1. Total Gulf production remains 4% above January 2007 levels because of gains offshore Louisiana, primarily Independence Hub. Production from the Hub has not reached the promised 1 Bcf/d peak but has averaged 895,000 Dth/d during the month of January. The high of 929,000 Dth/d was reached last in December 2007.
