Not at all, but religion has to be a prime motivator. The Crusades, and the Jihads before and since might be considered religious wars. But just any war between people of different religions doesn't and shouldn't qualify. You would apparently label any war ever fought as a religious war, or at least the vast majority of them. That's not reasonable.
