Here’s some photos of lots of Pass Snow, some as of today….SNOW SNOW….must be Global Change Cooling… I-90 still closed till tomorrow AM when they assess what to do...trucks lined up for miles on both sides of the pass from the looks of the lines... Quite a few pics here.... flickr.com Tanker truck blocked by an avalanche on Interstate 90 at Snoqualmie Pass in Washington's Cascade Mountains. I-90 was closed at 7:35 a.m. on Jan. 29, 2008 when a snow slide fell across the eastbound lanes east of the summit. After nearly two feet of snow fell in 24 hours and with more snow predicted, avalanche experts closed I-90 between North Bend and Ellensburg. WSDOT and Washington State Patrol troopers escorted vehicles off the 70-mile stretch of road to safety and barred any further traffic. On typical weekday, approximately 6,500 to 7,000 trucks travel I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass.
