I imagine your colleagues were pretty highly educated. Most people don't want to do without necessities so they can, eventually, bring down the cost of living for others. People don't think that way. And many people wouldn't be able to afford a home but for two working adults- and a home is not something that's "discretionary".

It's a lot more than a kink. I'm never going to agree with you. You aren't bringing up anything I haven't thought of. In general I like people to have choices, and where they don't ruin society (imo) with their choices, I'm for them doing anything they want. Having both parents work, imo, dramatically weakens society, and lessens our ability to adequately parent the future generations.

I'm not in charge. No women will be "harmed" by my POV. But you aren't likely to change it, either. The chances you will hit on something I have not thought of are probably remote. I've been thinking this way for years- and I do mean thinking, not merely "believing".
