Actually there was paper money before, during, and after the Foundation, bank notes as they were called back then. I may not understand exchange rates (actually there's nothing to understand, it's just math) but you don't understand history.

Nor do you actually understand economics.

But, as I said earlier, there's no point arguing macroeconomics with gold bugs. You think you know everything already, and there's no point.
