A. Fazio, in charge of L'Intel's memory technology development for their manufacturing group... and responsible for keeping all their "Ovonyx Rules!" fans from slitting their wrists or otherwise facing facts... here clearly infers that:

Phase Change "hurdles" won't be solved before the end of the decade, if then; and FLASH will be King at least for 4 more years or to the 32nm or 22nm node... if not longer. <vbg>
semiconductor.net

...As if this weren't obvious to everyone on the planet already:
edn.com

He clearly believes that PC-RAM is the most likely NV memory IP to replace NAND (doesn't even mention it as a successor to DRAM) but that NAND has no clear end in sight and will definitely rule the main stream for two more process nodes... which is about as far as he can ever "see" anyway.

His "faith" in PC-RAM seems entirely based on their experimental results which "suggest" that the IP can scale to 5nm. <HAAAA!><Haaaa!><HAWWWWWW!!>

Personally... I think it will be a cold day in Cocamo before he ever sees a sub 22nm PC-RAM doing anything more than frying in a fab... But that's just me! <Hoo><Hoo><Haww!>
