If you're at high risk, a heart scan won't do you much good because you and your doctor already know you're at risk based on your risk factors. My lipid panel indicated I was a little or no risk for heart disease. My scan showed I had plaque, and therefore heart disease, and I started a program to reduce it. No other scan will show the plaque because the x-rays work to slowly.
