Its such a central planning type of mindset. The idea that the government can improve things by controlling prices (interest rates are effectively a price for money), has been shown to be false every time its tried.

Not that I think Hillary is a full blown marxist, but she thinks everything will go fine with the market if we just make this intervention here and that one there, that there will be no side effects or unintended consequences, no matter how much you mess with incentives. That only the direct change will happen, and that government (at least if she is in charge of it) can pick the correct change in the intended area.

Well either that or she doesn't give a hoot about the economy as long as such policies get her elected.
