One more thing -- McCain may be assuming that conservatives will vote for him anyway, since they have no choice. Coulter's attack may make him reconsider this assumption. Many people may not say it directly, like Coulter did, but they may do the same thing -- or, simply not vote at all.

Btw, What is it with McCain's reading his speeches of a sheet of paper? Doesn't want to forget something?
