I've been thinking that Obama may be the best qualified. It's probably not PC, and I haven't thought it out too much, but he might feel the weight of history enough to surround himself with sober advisers and make a special effort not to screw things up too much. The race card. If McCain or Romney were to do a mediocre job, no big deal, just another so-so president in a long line. Who really remembers the specifics of the Rutherford B Hayes administration? Why is it no one ever refers to this guy as Rutherford Hayes? But Obama? The caliber of his tenure would echo down history some. Maybe he'd step up to the moment.

Given that I don't like any of them.
