You know what else has always bothered me about McCain. I hope I can phrase this right...

I hate the way he uses being captured and a prisoner of war as a reason to vote for him. First of all, most of the military people I know would consider that a failure and not want to talk about it. Even if you didn't feel you failed your mission, most just wouldn't talk about it. It's an honor thing I can't really explain well.

McCain uses it in his commercials and at every turn to get elected. There is something swarmy about that.

As an example. You never heard Bush senior talking about being shot down and rescued except under rare instances and when pressed. And he was a true military hero if you ask me. True hero's don't talk about being hero's. They're more humble about being cast in that light, because, they think about all the great men and women who died and were never known as hero's.

McCain lives on his record as a captured prisoner of war. It's just not right after this many years, in a war where tens of thousands of young men died.
