Assorted, Thomas Mann, Hesse, Sartre, Camus, Kierkegaard,
Looking back, the one thing that stands out was a conversation over lunch with two others from the Basketball team. We discussed the U.S. coming off the Gold Standard & speculating what a great time it would be to invest in Gold.
I don't know what the other two did but I went back to my books & Gold went to over $800 an ounce. It's funny that should be the standout memory of college, the failure to take an opportunity that presents itself so clearly.
