Both Kerry and Obama missed a lot of votes due to campaigning for President the year prior to the election, but showed up just for the votes that made statements to the base of the party, so their ratings were skewed. I mean, how could Obama be the most liberal? There's an actual socialist (Bernie Sanders) in the Senate, not to mention Ted Kennedy, Pat Leahy. and probably half a dozen more I could name if I thought for a few minutes that are more liberal than he is. -Z
