The sentiments in the cable industry was recession coming, before the new year.

However, Verizon is advertizing 2 year contract for over $100(120)/month triple play, giving away a 19" lcd hdtv. So, Time Warner is now doing $109($39.99 each)/month yearly triple play contracts. Comcast just changed to $120 also(TV advertizement).

This changes the business perception of cable vendors.

ARRS had not reported any business on the universal edgeQAM roll out yet(after March 5th maybe)? Nor did they report on video servers business for 6000 on-demand channel with Martha Steward channel? 160 mbps transmission will change many minds of subscribers to pay thru the nose, for the compatible video speeds. WiMax is gone. LTE or GSM/UMTS is in.

This business is all about data transmission speeds and data compression free ride.
