Yes, but if you actually go out and do something about it, you're a progressive. So it's been said, anyway. The two have been conflated a lot.

It shouldn't -- even Jonah Goldberg (who wrote Liberal Fascism) says he's a "classical liberal."

It really was the Republicans who made it a dirty word; it was purposely orchestrated. But I think the stigma really is wearing off.
