Those who short are usually right in the longer run. But they can't bear or can't afford being wrong even for a short while. That is why it is best to simply avoid all overvalued junk like GOOG, FSLR, VMW etc. I have been through this nonsense before when idiots were touting internet stocks. Those were the Googles and First Solars of those days - the sky is the limit, no price is too high for them blah blah. I pitted two stocks WRE and MO against a bunch of internet darlings selected by a few friends at that time. My picks did very well (and even more so with dividends re-invested) while more than half of those internet crap stocks don't even exist today.
