You could become a british citizen like John Templeton did. Britain doesn't follow you around the world trying to collect taxes. No income tax in the Bahamas where his digs are.

If you renounce your US citizenship, the IRS automatically assumes you did it for tax purposes and claims they can collect on future earnings should you have assets over a set amount.

Templeton got out well under the wire.

Another notable that lives in the Bahamas is Sean Connery. Nice tax break there.
