Imagine my surprise yesterday when I dropped in on Bob Brinker's radio show and he was talking about Peak Oil. Had a guest (didn't catch his name) who spoke at length about the issue and took questions from callers. Bob Brinker is, imo, pretty mainstream. However, my Canary-in-the-Coal-Mine sister (married to doctor - living in Russellville, Arkansas - who watches all that is network TV) has still "never heard" of peak oil. I sent her a copy of "End of Suburbia" but she refused to watch it. Until she answers me in the affirmative when I ask her the question, "have you heard of peak oil, yet?" I will continue to believe the issue is below the radar of the average American.
