Joe, You can't sue unless you've been harmed. And I benefited. The people that get screwed are the people without the resources (and probably the knowledge) to sue. Plus they are going up against the deep pocket insurance companies with armies of lawyers on retainer and their expensive delay tactics.

Deep pockets of the insurance companies and medical labs would I think be a good thing, giving incentive for some lawyers to sue.

While you are right, you can't sue, but your bill together with another bill of person not part of the doctor - lab - insurance company cabal would provide strong ammunition.

But, ideally, some government agency (local, state or federal) could as well file a suit, which would be basically righting a wrong, as opposed to some ambulance chaser enriching himself.
