It was Gore's idea to "run away" from Clinton. If he had run on Clinton's record he would have won 'despite' the screw up in Florida. Bush won't have to wait to "go down" as our WORST President, he's already locked up the title. If you read your post you'll find that you are actually saying that if it hadn't been for the Lewinsky thing then Clinton would have been a very popular President. Actually, he WAS a very popular President despite the Lewinsky thing with a 65% approval rating. But, one has to think that if it hadn't been for Lewinsky....YOU would like him too.
