This site seems to indicate there has been deforestation in Brazil since 1978. images.google.co.uk There are plenty of Satellite images too. mongabay.com In this just a more profound state of denial you have reached? Up till 1970, you could by commercial mahogany from Brazil. It petered out about 1970. Have they started planting jungle in Brazil??
