mindmeld, Look the fact is that the Middle Class is WAY over taxed and the Rich are way under taxed in our current tax regime. Government is over-committed on the spending side, so any talk of tax cuts (or stimulus package) makes no sense to me. The statistics don't lie. The Middle Class is disappearing faster than at any time in the last few decades. We need to restore balance through an appropriately progressive tax structure. You have got to be kidding me. We would do this, while the rest of the world is on consumption tax, lower corporate tax and is looking at flat income tax. More "progressive" income tax will surely make us competitive NOT. The issue is international competition, and how well the US citizens do, not how you slice the pie domestically. Joe
