John - I assume you have sources for those numbers. There are more bogus guesses passed around here that I like to see the source and judge it and its information.

If you are an ignoramus who "bought" a house with a nothing down "liar loan" ARM and are now being foreclosed, yes, you are likely to be bankrupted by a serious illness. You will still get treated, though, and likely no worse than the Canadian system would do. But that loan was likely to bankrupt you anyway.

Yes, the American system has bad outcomes. It also has very good ones. Even an average American with careful, considered decisions and thrift, is likely to leave the average socialist in the dust.
