We will see how that goes. One catalyst was for sure the weak reading in European Retail sales (-2%, much worse than exp. 0.8) which scared away many buyers and ignited hopes of a coming rate cut in the EUR.

BUT the mass exit only brought it downto 1.46...and not to lower levels we saw recently (1.44s). This could mean that once the selling pressure stops and bad Eur news are digested, a new wave of buying brings it near 1.49, 1.50...

You know what is scary? That the European indices again lost much more than the S&P.
The DAX (-4.25%), CAC (-4.60%) and Eurostoxx (-4.84%) give us a much better picture whats in the making come tomorrow morning.

The Russell shows -2.10% as I type.

DO people invest into the USD and cheap US equities...as the US is again ahead 2 or 3 quarters?
