In the interview an FBI agent had with Saddam which lasted 7 months and which was aired on 60 Minutes. The reason that Saddam invaded Kuwait was because of an insult that their Emir had done to him.. Trivial thing like that. It was not about oil or annexation and he never thought America would intervene.
