Jim,

Once again, the polls who had Obama winning California, like New Hampshire, were totally wrong. Same for Romney winning California. Arnold helped McCain.
Appears that the Latino vote carried California for McCain and Clinton. Also McCain in Florida.

Winner take all really helped McCain. Missouri was virtually a 3 way tie but McCain got all the delegates.
We all know how Romney was jobbed in West Virginia.

You are right. I was surprised about Hillary winning handily in CA.

Looking at the demographics, GOP needs them to have a chance at winning - and has not done very well connecting. They are mostly socially conservative Catholics - a natural constituency for GOP. It took a while for conservative Catholics of European ancestry to move to GOP. I think GOP should expedite the process with hispanics. If Obama is the candidate, GOP will need them to with the election.

As far as West Virginia, you reap what you sow. And besides, it is a normal caucus tactics. You instruct your supporters what your second choice is.

Joe
