Very well said. My main hope was that a thrid party would emerge from this election- led by either McCain, or Paul. While the Libertarian party is established, I think too many Americans view it as a bunch of extremist nuts. I think the time is right for a 'new' third party.

Another thing, is half of the debate about what each candidate is promising, or proposing is meaningless- because they have absolutely no intention on honoring, or following through with those promises- it's just for niche votes. Radical idea's that pander for votes- never get passed anyway.

You are right about a deep super-recession, or even a depression is what will be required to wake America up- and bring radical, permanent change.
