I wondered if Lieberman would do it too; but McCain is already in trouble with the dogmatic conservatives, and he is unlikely to carry the northeast anyway.

Huckabee is a much stronger choice after how well he ran in the south with the self-identified conservatives.

Hillary would instantly unify the party by having Obama as VP. The question is, does he want to have to defend the whole Clinton history through what will be an ugly general election campaign.

In his position, I might be inclined to step back, keep my name in the public eye in the Senate and wait for the next chance to be the headliner instead of the undercard.
