I stand corrected on my idea of Tamagotchi demand dropping off. I went back to Wal-Mart on Saturday, two days after my last report, and all the Tamagotchis were gone. There were some Nano Pals up in their place. The cheap knock-offs in the other aisle hadn't been touched.

The three Target stores I have seen in my area (northwest Denver), all have displays of Nano Pals with at least 100 pets. Looks like Playmates definitely has their supply problem solved. I don't know if the Nano Pals are not selling or if Playmates is able to resupply them quickly enough to keep the shelves full.
