I want to describe why this thread is important to me. It's a place where posters can express what they believe,feel or think without having someone bash them. There are difference of opinions and I think that is wonderful. It makes for debate when one chooses. However, not everything is debatable because one just might choose to let what a person thinks or posts go... Not worth the effort. However,everything that is posted here becomes a learning experience for me. The differing opinions make me think. I am challenged without intimidation ( which I have seen on other threads....) and therefore there is a FREEDOM here that does not exist on other threads. If I am wrong direct me to that thread. We all don't parrot what the moderator of this thread posts. On some threads if anyone disagrees with the moderator... or the majority of those posting there they are asked to leave in a private PM or they are just banned without explanation The only thing I have taken issue with here in the past two days is the banning of Koan who offered some ideas that were not popular but I think it was that he bashed conservatives. We know that some of us here are from the South and I think that this thread tries to respect everyone else. If I offend someone here I am ready to apologize as it is not the intention of this particular thread to do that. Some threads are all the good ole boys club. Other's are so vociferous in bashing one another that it's not enjoyable to even read the bile.. There are abbreviations like I am rolling on the floor laughing at your post. It is an ingenuous way of saying you are stupid about what you said. I wish that a warning would go out to anyone who offends here and that a person is given a second chance. However, that is the moderators prerogative and I understand that after making two appeals for reconsideration of koan. At any rate I look forward to reading EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you all post here and if there is an issue.... as Katelaw seems to have I would hope with every part of me that it does not mean she would leave the thread.I would hate that as I love her posts. I would hope that we all could tell one another if we have an issue without it becoming taken in the wrong way so that it ends up in an nonnegotiable issue. I truly respect each of you here and you are all highlights in my day and enlightening in your knowledge which you share. I think you all and Katelaw please don't leave.
